Featured Projects
The Food and Drug Administration Headquarters
The FDA, responsible for the safety of U.S. food, drugs, medical devices and cosmetics, employed more than 5,000 people in 40 buildings at 18 locations in the Washington, DC, area. To consolidate these facilities and create a consistent culture, the FDA acquired a two million-SF campus for a workplace environment that creates community, bolsters workflow and enhances operations.
Brickell Financial Center
This 1.5 million-SF, two-tower complex will be the largest green office building in Florida and upon completion is expected to receive a LEED® Gold certification, an honor that has yet to be awarded in Miami. To receive its pre-certification, the project has met initial criteria for sustainability, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources.
The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens
In Pine Mountain, Georgia, this charming garden getaway got a major upgrade with a green-friendly renovation and expansion. Nature and sustainability drive the clean and contemporary design scheme, which was developed to meet LEED®-certification level standards. The exterior and interior showcase natural materials and meet Callaway’s goal of uniting man and nature.
Highmark Data Center
As the first of its kind to be LEED® certified, the new data center for Highmark, Inc. is a ground-breaking model for future “green” data center design. This state-of-the-art facility supports all technological and business needs, securely houses millions of documents, and provides a dynamic working environment for more than 50 employees.
New Jiang Wan Cultural Center
Nestled in the city’s last wetland preserve, Shanghai’s latest and most comprehensive urban development, New Jiangwan Town, is a model for a sustainable community for the 21st Century. In its heart is a new cultural center, designed to showcase the area’s environmental sensitivity and celebrate the vibrant and evolving community.
Bond Street Wharf
This exercise in efficiency, market demand and sustainable design both recalls the history of Baltimore’s waterfront and provides a model for future office development around the harbor. Sustainable elements include maximized daylight, bris-soleil to reduce solar heat gain, recycled and low-VOC materials and a sophisticated under-floor air distribution system.
